In an effort to keep foods safe and reduce food-borne illness, MU Extension is partnering with Rocking W Farm & Home in Crane to offer a Jerky Making Workshop. Thursday, October 21, from 7-8:00 pm, participants can learn information about preserving meat safely with dehydration, observe dehydration demonstrations, and receive a variety of jerky samples from local meat sources. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited to the first 15 registrants aged 13+. Register by calling 417-357-6812 or by going online. The fee for the workshop is $20/participant and covers the cost of the class.
